One beautiful autumn evening, Jackie and Robert (a/k/a “Bob”) met at a very modern bar somewhere in Manhattan, having been guided there by the Lords of Digital Love and Daydreaming. At first sighting, Jackie was noticeably relieved by Bob’s youthful appearance. The two sat and spoke of many things, ranging from Jane Austen to James Bond, to uptown versus downtown, to food, wine, and the Great Library of Alexandria. Bob, being an avid history buff, was immediately smitten when Jackie mentioned she had visited the battlefields of Gettysburg several times. Let’s just say, she had Bob at Gettysburg! Over the ensuing decade Bob and Jackie continued to date, experiencing the ups and downs of life together, until one day Jackie gamely followed Bob in his flight from the metropolitan confines of New York City to his native, verdant Pennsylvania. Then, on a gentle summer night, upon a sturdy bridge that bestrides the winding river separating that leafy state from another, Bob on bended knee proposed to Jackie. After recovering from her state of shock, Jackie said “Yes!” The rest, as they say, is history!
