Austin and I worked side by side for over a year, never realizing that something special was right in front of us. On a random Wednesday (April 24th, 2024), our dear friends/former coworkers, decided to play matchmaker. From that day forward, we’ve been inseparable. From the moment we started talking, we couldn’t stop. Hours flew by as we laughed, shared stories, and marveled at how we’d never noticed each other before. Just four days later, Austin asked me to be his girlfriend. We both knew we were meant to be ever since that day and are firm believers of the phrase, "when you know, you know."

At the time, we lived in Florida but we decided to take a trip to Bakersfield, California, so I could meet the rest of Austin’s extended family. I truly thought this trip was just about family time, I had no idea what was in store! Disneyland has always held a special place in my heart. It’s a place filled with treasured memories from my childhood, and Austin knew just how much it meant to me. With that in mind, and shaking with the ring in hand, he got down on one knee and said, “Hannah Joyce Allred, I love you so much. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” With no hesitation, (and almost passing out) I said yes! The easiest yes I have ever said in my life. It was the most magical surprise and a moment I’ll cherish forever.
