Run up the famous "Rocky Steps," catch an awesome view of Philadelphia, and see some amazing art while you're here.
Assembly Rooftop Lounge
If you find yourself with extra time on your hands after the ceremony, grab a drink across the street at the Logan Hotel's rooftop bar with views overlooking the parkway. The hotel's first floor bar is also A+, if A/C in July is more your style.
The Franklin Institute
For a science-filled outing friendly for adults and kids, check out the Franklin Institute! We highly recommend the SportsZone exhibit.
Independence Hall
For our U.S. history lovers, visit where it all began! Even if you don't take the tour, you can explore Old City and see the famous Liberty Bell across the street.
Butcher Bar
Grab a bite to eat at one of our favorite date-night spots. Get the duck wings. You won't be disappointed.
Giorgio On Pine
Enjoy the gnocchi, bucatini, or pork chop at our favorite Italian restaurant! FYI, it's B.Y.O.
Penn's Landing
Visit Penn's Landing to find outdoor summer activities and tour historic ships. Keep walking south along the waterfront until you hit the hammocks of Spruce Street Harbor Park.
Ponzio's Diner-Bakery-Bar
For those staying in Jersey, grab some breakfast in the morning at Ponzio's. We love the Eggs Benedict, fried french toast, and western omelet (don't forget to order with cheese).
Adventure Aquarium
Feed baby stingrays, watch the penguins, and enter the infamous shark tunnel. You can also meet Honey, the Aquarium's two-toed sloth.
Amy's Omelette House
It's the only breakfast spot where you can substitute a side of regular toast for french toast. Seriously, you can do that here.
Haddonfield
Check out the shopping and restaurants in this historic, Allison-approved town.
Philadelphia Zoo
If you know Joe's love of animals, you know we had to include America's first zoo.
P.J. Whelihan's Pub + Restaurant - Haddon Township
Gather for Joe's favorite Hot 'n Honey wings and casual entrees (we recommend the french dip).
Jim's Steaks
One of our two favorites for a Philly Cheesesteak. If you want to order it the Philly way, order it "Whiz Wit" (AKA-steak with whiz and onions).
John's Roast Pork
Our second recommendation for a different kind of cheesesteak experience. You need to call ahead for this one in the morning to place your order, but this place has a James Beard award-winning sandwich that sells fast. Joe gets the roast pork with provolone and broccoli rabe. Allison gets a cheesesteak with provolone, peppers, and onions.
The Franklin Fountain
Declare your independence from the July heat and cool off in Old City at this old-school ice cream shop. We recommend the frozen custard.
