A beach tale… Each year, Bowen’s family goes on their annual Meybohm Family beach trip. Last year, Bowen invited Allison to come along. She knew that there were a few special occasions that would be celebrated while there, including his grandmother’s and aunt’s birthdays. His mom had all sorts of fun dinners planned, etc. What she was NOT expecting however, happened on their second day there. Bowen tells Allison that he was planning to be gone for the day playing golf. He asked if she would be okay without him all day. A little nervous, because she had never been alone with his ENTIRE family for a day, she said, “Of course”. And “of course” she truly was more than okay. His family made her feel so welcome and comfortable. They hung out in the sunshine of the beach all day and had the best, relaxing (much needed) time. His mom, Millie, told Allison she was preparing a “picnic on the beach” for us all that evening and that they would be having some family photos taken. Late that afternoon, Bowen and his dad return from playing golf and everyone goes and gets washed up for the picnic dinner. Upon arriving to Millie’s (really flippin’ cool) beach picnic set up, Bowen’s brother, John, starts taking some family photos. First, Bowen’s aunt and her family. Then the Klosinski Family was up… which Allison was invited to join in on [insert your “Awww” here]. John then says he just wants one of Bowen and Allison solo. Keep in mind, other family members are waiting to take their photos. Bowen kind of takes his time getting on the ground to “tie his shoe” and Allison starts to say, “come on, people are wait… oh.” Lightbulb in her brain: They were on a beach… Bowen wasn’t wearing shoes. Oh, boy. In front of his whole family, Bowen then asked Allison to marry him. A little stunned at first, it took a second for her to get any real words out. So, poor Bowen was on the ground for a minute. Finally, his uncle’s voice being heard in the background yelling out, “So, did she say yes?!” brought Allison back down to planet Earth. She then said, “Yes!” to becoming Mr. & Mrs. Bowen Anderson Klosinski.
