Please arrive at the ceremony no later than 4:15pm
Some couples take social media very seriously for their wedding and ask for an unplugged ceremony and a moratorium on posting pictures. NOT US! We love photos so please take as many as you want and post them whenever you want! If you do post, please tag photos using our wedding hashtag #allisonmarksthespot so we can see them too!!
Ideally when you arrive there should be some surprise gifts waiting for you in your room! However, as mentioned previously, Jamaica is not always as organized as NYC so if there is no surprise gift waiting for you, or the wrong amount of surprise gifts for the number of people in your party, please let us know as we have extras in our room for you!
We want our guests to both look and feel fabulous, so please dress in beach front cocktail attire. It will be hot, so the groom will not be in a tie, and neither should you! Jackets are also discouraged because you will be hot and uncomfortable and that is no fun. The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the beach in the sand so please plan footwear appropriately. The bride will be barefoot and you can be too if you wish! Please note shoes will be required for dinner.
Jamaica is outside of the U.S. so unless you have an international plan you will not have cell service on the island. However, the resort has very good wi-fi so data services will be available. If you need to reach the bride or groom you can text (on iphone) or WhatsApp us (non-iphone) while we're in Jamaica.
Please RSVP as soon as you can but no later than 9/20/19. If you are booking a room block through us, we as that you reserve your room by 2/07/2019. This will help us manage our guest list and ensure we have enough rooms available for all our friends and family.
Please book using our room block through Liberty Travel at http://www.cvent.com/events/allison-roarty-mark-ferguson/event-summary-887e0723fcb64ddb98236e46a7f1dffb.aspx?RefID=AllisonMarkWedding We were able to negotiate prices cheaper than you can get direct! The room block covers 12/11 - 12/18 but if you wish to check-in or out of the resort outside that timeframe you can contact Liberty directly and they will hook you up. To secure the rooms at these awesome prices, we're asking folks to put down a deposit of $150 per person by February 7th, 2019. Final balance on the room will be due September 26th, 2019
Through our awesome room block we were able to secure a suite starting at $221/n pp. Remember, The Grand is All Inclusive, so this rate includes all of your meals, drinks, activities, entertainment, fitness classes, taxes, and a free round of golf or two!
The Iberostar is all inclusive which means the price for your room covers accommodations, all you can consume food and drinks, and a few specific activities around the resort. We don't recommend you plan to leave the resort during your stay, and promise you'll find a wealth of food, bars, and entertainment right here at The Grand. The following is included in your fee for the hotel: - All meals - All drinks – Top Shelf - Butler Service - Fitness classes - Access to the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach and Rose Hall Suites properties - Daily & Nightly entertainment - Hotel taxes and service charges - Complimentary rounds of golf - 3 or 4 nights = 1 round 5 nights or more = 2 free rounds
Unfortunately our venue requires that wedding guests stay at The Grand Rose Hall resort. It's an unbelievably amazing place with butlers, personal pillow menus, and breathtaking views from your balcony. We guarantee you're going to love it! You may notice there are two other hotels on the property, Rose Hall Beach and Rose Hall Suites. Please ensure you do not book at one of these resorts as guests of those hotels are not allowed to enter the property of The Grand and you will not be able to attend the wedding :(
The Grand has a 3 night minimum stay and we recommend guests arrive no later than Thursday, December 12th so you have plenty of time to get into the Jamaica spirit before Friday night's festivities. Similarly, we recommend guests plan to leave no earlier than Monday, December 16th so you can fully enjoy the wedding and Sunday brunch. If you'd like to arrive earlier or stay later, we highly recommend it as once you get to Jamaica you will never want to leave.
We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited to those who know as a couple. Unless otherwise discussed with the Bride and Groom, thank you for not bringing a guest.
Although we do love all of your little cherubs, the venue is adult only and cannot accommodate children. We know how hard you parents work and we hope you can arrange for our wedding to also be a relaxing vacation for you away from the small humans!
There are endless possibilities for fun at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall and for a full list you should poke around their website: https://www.thegrandcollection.com/en/hotels/montego-bay/grand-rose-hall Some of our favorite activities include: - Breakfast buffets in the open air restaurant - Yoga classes to start the day - Poolside drinks at the beach front swim up bar - Going out in a catamaran, canoe, or kayak - Reading a book in one of the beach cabanas in the sand - Afternoon poolside games with the staff - Naps on the balcony before dinner - Eating everything at the Gourmet Restaurant
