Our love story began in 2020 with a swipe right. We matched on Tinder, and had to wait three months to meet in person due to the pandemic. We really got to know each other during that time. By the time we did meet in person, we began dating very shortly after. Over the course of the next three years we each drove back and forth to see each other once a week - like clockwork. That one day a week was what we looked forward to all the other days. Although the time we spent away from each other was rewarding and helped us to learn how to communicate with each other perfectly, it was hard to be so far away from each other for so many days and so many nights. 2023 was a big year for us. Brian moved 64 miles away from his childhood home to Bowling Green to live with me. That was a very bittersweet day for our loved ones, and for us we were so excited to start our lives together in a whole new way. Now we feel like two best friends having a never-ending sleepover. All that time apart really made us appreciate each other more, and living together just came naturally. In July of 2023 Brian, with the help of my mom, asked me if I would marry him in our favorite place, our home. My mom and Brian had been planning this for months, and his original plan was to propose at Mammoth Cave. But, due to rainy weather, plans changed. He told me to get all dressed up and he took me out to dinner. I was so confused as to how he wasn't full after a steak and lobster dinner, but to stall he suggested dessert. He suddenly changed his mind, however, and we headed back to our apartment. What I didn't know was that the reason for his change of mind was because my mom was texting him and letting him know everything was set up and ready to go! When I walked in there was candles and rose petals showered across our living room. On the tv was a video of a beautiful fireplace scene, and the room was only lit with the light of the candles. One of my favorite shows of all time is "Friends." Brian hadn't seen it at the time, but one of my favorite episodes is when Chandler (the funny guy) and Monica (the super organized chef) get engaged in the living room of the apartment they shared. He had no idea what his impromptu living room proposal meant to me. I had no idea that a tv show would parallel one of the most important moments of my life. When I turned back around, Brian, the funny guy I love so much, was on one knee proposing to me, the perfectionist who loves to cook. It was the easiest decision I ever made. We can't wait to spend our lives together, and everyday is a fairy tale. We are so excited to celebrate our love with all of you!
