FAQs

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The Botanical Garden will provide free parking on-site for our guests. Please enter the main parking area and you will be directed to the reserved section.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors or indoors?

Answer

Our ceremony site is an outdoor garden in an area with limited shade. The cocktail hour and reception will be indoor/outdoor, with dinner and dancing indoors. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to an indoor site. In late May, the St. Louis area is typically in the 70s and 80s during the day, and humidity should be relatively pleasant, cooling off into the evening. However, we do get some occasional early heat waves!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be in the Lehmann Rose Garden, approximately midway through the Botanical Garden grounds. The ceremony will begin at 6pm. Please give yourself enough time to arrive, park (if you are driving), and walk to the ceremony site - keep in mind that the Garden is lovely, and you might want to enjoy the scenery along the way! Keep in mind the Garden is a popular destination, so allow extra time for some traffic near the entrance. For guests who need it, we will have a trolley on site to transport guests to the ceremony site. After the ceremony, the trolley will provide transport to the reception site. If you anticipate using the trolley, please ensure you arrive with enough time in case the trolley needs to make multiple trips!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Since we are getting married on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, we intend to plan a few events to make the weekend festive. Stay tuned for updates about a welcome dinner on Saturday and a getaway brunch Monday. If you prefer to join us only for the main event, no worries!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Just let us know! We're familiar with a variety of dietary needs and want everyone to feel comfortable at our wedding.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! St. Louis is full of great activities for kids, many of them free. The Zoo and City Museum are always a hit!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

It turns out that most of our out-of-town guests have secured hotels outside of our room blocks, so we are doing something different than a shuttle. We are offering our guests Uber vouchers for transportation to and from the Botanical Garden on May 24. On the wedding day, you can redeem a voucher using the following link: https://r.uber.com/rbphaxudbym Or, enter the following code into your Uber account: rbphaxudbym

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

No physical or monetary gifts are necessary - the best gift is your company and the time you are taking out of your busy lives to witness and celebrate our marriage. If you are really hoping to give a gift, we'd be honored by your donation to a favorite non-sectarian charity in our honor! Or just give us a *really* big congratulatory hug! We can't wait to see you!
