Allie and I knew each other in high school and reconnected online in May of 2020. After chatting virtually for a few days we decided to take our dogs to Heritage park together. It didn't take long for both of us to fall for each other, however in my case I fell literally when her dog Phoebe knocked me over! We had a lot of good laughs and the rest was history.
I thought long and hard about the perfect way to propose to Allie. I knew she wouldn't want a public proposal and I knew she would want someone there to take pictures. When Allie and I finally purchased our first house I knew I should propose in our home. With the help of my two sisters we gently laid thousands of rose pedals from the front door, up the stairs and into the living room. Where once she turned the corner, I was down on one knee with a "Marry Me" sign and a few dozen balloons. I shakenly asked her to Marry Me and she said yes!
