Founded after the Branigar Brothers discovered the property in the 1920s, Gulf Hills Resort opened in 1927 as a premier coastal getaway. It later became Mississippi’s first Dude Ranch and a favorite retreat for celebrities, including Elvis Presley. After changes in ownership and major losses from Hurricane Camille and a 1974 fire, the historic resort entered a new era in 2021, with renovations underway and Phase I completed in 2023, marking its revival on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
It’s a small beach town with oversized chill. Moss drapes from old oak trees like lace curtains, the air tastes faintly of salt, and nobody seems in a hurry to be anywhere. Downtown is a little pocket of color and character. Art galleries, murals splashed across brick walls, boutiques you wander into “just to look,” and restaurants serving seafood that tastes like it came straight from the tide. The beach is low key, not flashy. It’s more unfold a chair, let the sun sink into the water, and remember how to exhale. Most nights there’s live music drifting through the air, a local festival lighting up the streets, or neighbors lingering just because they can. Ocean Springs doesn’t try too hard. It just hums along at its own pace, the kind of place where time loosens its tie and nobody minds one bit.
Biloxi is a Mississippi city on the Gulf of Mexico and a major casino destination on the Gulf Coast. The city is lined with large, resort-style casinos that offer gaming, hotels, restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife, making them a central part of Biloxi’s identity and economy. Many casinos sit right along the waterfront, with views of the Mississippi Sound and easy access to the beach.
Margaritaville Resort Biloxi is basically a big, fun beach escape where the goal is to relax and have a good time. It’s bright, beachy, and super casual. The kind of place where flip-flops are always the right choice and nobody’s in a hurry.
We'll post our registry here when we're finished building it. Thank you in advance!
