The other pea in the pod, Batman & Robin, Darth Maul and Wolverine. We had a lot of shared interests and we were engaged in many of the same activities as kids but I have to say you’ve never been in a real argument unless it was with Matt Conrad. I don’t think there was a weekend we had as kids where we didn’t disagree about something that turned into a quiet decade long dispute.

My eldest sister and the person I was born to torment. The makeshift babysitter when the parents were away and man did we hand it to her when she was. She definitely does deserve the oldest sister's compensation.

The big brother of us cousins, I think Matt and I made his life hell when we were spent weekends at his house. My childhood would have never been as exciting and creative without his influence and supervision. Joe was the first person outside of my parents that I can honestly say I looked up to and to this day I appreciate his almost mentorship that has lead me to having such an open mind.

Avery and I met when she was brought into my house when I was 5. She used to break many of my toys and eat ranch dressing with EVERYTHING. She has since grown in her taste of food and is the first person I would have cook for me, but the last person I would have write my grocery list.

If the movie stand by me was just 2 kids 0 dead bodies and a bit more fighting that was my time spent in Hillsboro IL. with my little Uncle Johnny. We spent hours upon hours exploring the 40+ acres of land, fishing, creek walks and playing with their large stock of domesticated animals. Johnny and I were probably the 2 most spoiled kids growing up, from toys & action figures to phones and consoles, and we’d still find a way to piss each other off and fist fight until one of us cried. Then we’d go outside to feed whichever of his 50 dogs were still alive.

Abby is Xaviers cousin Matts wife. We have bonded over the years while our husbands have hung out. So much so that we had babies two months apart! Abby is someone I can count on to always give the most honest opinions and advice. We love going on walks and doing a craft now and then when the time allows. Other than that we are couch potatoes with our children.

I’d like to say we became friends in 1st grade after I showed him my sweet new transformer in the middle of class but I don’t think he cared one bit. 8 years later we rekindled our friendship when I returned to Webster my freshmen year. We pretended not notice each other, probably instinctually to protect ourselves from another heartbreak, but fate put us on the track team together and we’ve had each other’s backs ever since.

As kids people thought we were brothers. Born 5 days apart with similar complexions and a shared goofy sense of humor, Cris is the absolute definition of a day one. I couldn’t imagine getting along with anyone else for as much time as we spent in a basement taking turns on the computer or making stupid YouTube videos on my dads phone. As an only child I consider Cris as the closest thing to having a brother, even after years of being apart we manage to bounce back without missing a beat.

The other Bobsey Twin. Haley and I met working at Busch Stadium and bonded over how much we despised the general public and being yelled at about hard-lined coolers. Our manager thought we were a great team and were a package deal after that.

I was the new kid who just moved in 4 doors down from Justin. I’d see him outside sometimes riding his skateboard with his shaved Mohawk. I didn’t really know what “punk” was yet and he seemed scary for a 3rd grader. We became acquainted and my mom must’ve bribed his to invite me over to his birthday party where we played GameCube all night and listened to his CD’s. Justin showed me a lot of new music but most of all Blink 182 and even more importantly “Miss You” and that’s all it took. not even a week later we were outside catching wild snakes with our bare hands, hittin the streets on “Walmart boards” and putting each other in chokeholds after a minor dispute. You can say all you want that you and your friends have been through thick and thin but the two of us were literally jumped by a single guy that was probably only a year or two older than us.

If I were allowed only 3 saved contacts in my phone the order would go 1). Allison 2). Mom 3). Dominic During any given week I’ll easily rack up 2-3 hours of talk time with Dominic, either its Corn-hole, tech or just gabbin. Dom is one of my oldest mutual friends whom Matt generously introduced me to during the summer of 5th grade. There’s something about Dominic that you can’t really put into words and if you could it would probably be a pun.
