Bald Peak State Scenic Viewpoint
This is a great place to visit and walk around outside, with views of Newberg from above! Bald Peak is one of our favorite places to go and watch the sunset, and it's only about 20 minutes from Newberg!
Trappist Abbey Guadalupe Trailhead Loop
For those looking for a longer hike in the Newberg area to enjoy the summer weather, this is one of our favorites! Just under 20 minutes from Newberg, the Guadalupe Loop at Trappist Abbey is a peaceful hike through forest scenery with views of the valley.
Champoeg State Park
Our wedding venue also happens to double as a beautiful state park! Champoeg is a wonderful place to ride bikes, play a round of disc golf, or just walk around and enjoy the scenery and views of the Willamette River.
Caravan Coffee
This is one of our favorite coffee shops in Newberg, and is where we had many of our first dates! It's smaller than others in the area, and tends to be a quieter place to share a cup of coffee.
99W Drive-In
If you have some extra time during your visit, this drive-in theater is a super fun activity! It is one of the view drive-ins in Oregon, and somewhere that we have enjoyed visiting.
Red Hills Market
This is one of our favorite restaurants near Newberg, where we have gone to celebrate birthdays, or just to share a meal and play cornhole and sit by their firepit! Bonus: they have delicious gluten-free pizza!
El Gordito Feliz
This is one of THE TASTIEST spots to grab a bite that we have found in Newberg. They offer authentic Mexican food with generous portions at a reasonable price (plus lots of gluten-free options!) We used to read and share lunch here on most Tuesdays when we first started dating :)
