Our Story

Who would've guessed? A city boy, used to traffic jams, dodging pot holes, tall buildings, and the roar of stadiums, meets a country girl, raised on quiet mornings, starry nights, late night bonfires and the sound of crickets. They swapped stories, shared drinks, traded boots for sneakers and sneakers for boots… and somewhere along the way, they fell in love with each other’s worlds (and then just plain fell in love). Now, 6.5 years later? They're saying "I do." May 30 2020—the day our worlds first collided. If you know my brother Billy, you know “the party starter” runs in his veins, and I braced myself for the typical Bellevue house bash. But this night was different.

He wouldn’t stop hyping the Boley twins—as if they came with their own pre-installed fun settings. And let me tell you, he wasn’t lying. The moment they walked in, they didn’t just light up the room—they became the room: funny, outgoing, impossible not to like. But the best part? Our very first conversation together was about... coding. Of all things. Amid the laughter and introductions, we bonded over semicolons and software structure. Nothing says ‘instant connection’ like debugging your way into friendship. From the second we met, there was something… clicky—like a quirky little spark I'd never felt before with someone I'd only just met. That feeling was unforgettable and somehow lingered long past that night. Then there were the radio-silence months—until Labor Day weekend of 2020. That’s when we started chatting every single day. Only twist? He wasn’t just across town—he was 6,000 miles away overseas, on military duty. Talk about long-distance leveling up! I clocked out of work at 11 PM, and guess who was already sending me ‘good morning!’ texts? Not exactly the usual midnight-to-dawn vibe—unless you count texts from someone 6,000 miles away. We talked all the things: texts (by the dozen), Snapchat streaks, calls, FaceTimes—you name it. Then football season rolled around, and our FaceTime game peaked—because nothing says “I care” quite like watching the Steelers live together across time zones. Over the next few months, we swapped stories, childhood memories, secrets… our worlds were miles apart, but we learned each other’s lives inside out and never felt so close to someone before.

Fast-forward to April 2021—when Ryan finally came home. Seriously, it felt like the season finale of our lives and everyone was so pumped to have him back. I knew re-entering your old routines might feel awkward, so I made it my mission to be his cozy comfort zone, ready with snacks, jokes, and zero judgment whenever he needed me. We started hanging out more: watching football, running to Panera for our “whatever-we-crave” meals. We may never have had a formal first date, but those casual hangouts? Totally felt like one.

Then came the moment of truth: July 8, 2022—a Friday—when Ryan finally asked me to be his girlfriend. Technically, I’d already been his for over a year… but hey, what’s a little retroactive label among friends? Everything since then? Pure history in the most adorable way.

I brought a city boy into my world of country roads, crispy air, and muddy boots—and he dropped a country girl into his neon-lit streets and crazy traffic jams. Mixing our traditions? Pure magic: think tailgate BBQs high-fiving rooftop toasts. We’ve cheered at sporting events like it was our jobs, to one night, at 1 a.m., ended up star-gazing right in the middle of a field because who needs candlelight when you’ve got the Milky Way and two silly hearts? All the goofy, cozy, “wait that actually happened?” moments so far have me grinning like a kid in a candy store—and I just know the best adventures are still ahead.

I never believed in love at first sight…until our story made me rethink everything. Like, who would’ve guessed a random chat about coding—yep, actual semicolons and all—would eventually land us saying “I do” over six years later?
