Allison and Ram’s story began as classmates in physical therapy school at Creighton University. At the end of summer 2022, Ram asked Allison out to dinner at Gold Mountain for her first bowl of pho. The date went very well as Allison enjoyed the food, and Ram appreciated how open she was to try something new. Soon after that first date, PT school sent them in different directions for their first clinical rotations. Allison went to Nampa, Idaho, and Ram to Escanaba, Michigan. Even with six weeks and 1,755 miles apart, they kept in touch through texts, handwritten letters, and weekly FaceTime calls. When they reunited, Ram asked Allison to be his girlfriend on September 15, 2022, while the two of them were lying on the street at 13th and Mike Fahey St. just before midnight. During PT school, their relationship grew as they balanced studying, exercising, and spending time with friends. They encouraged each other to work toward their goals and enjoy the journey along the way. In May 2024, they both graduated from PT school, passed their board exams, and began their careers. Later that year, on November 24, 2024, Ram proposed during a hike at Hitchcock Nature Center. Since getting engaged, Allison and Ram have focused on building a strong, faith-centered future together. Through Bible studies, Alpha courses, OCIA, and marriage preparation, they have made an effort to keep God at the center of their relationship. They’ve also trained for and run seven races together, raised a high-energy and loving puppy, traveled to various destinations, and started a medical staffing agency side by side. Allison and Ram are excited for the future they’re creating together and are grateful for the love and support from their family and friends.
