This is a great question, especially with the advent of work from home. Acceptable outfits for men must include at the bare minimum a collared shirt (Polo is accepted, button down is strongly preferred), Khakis/Chinos (any color is acceptable, provided you would wear in a work setting), and no tennis shoes. For women, dresses and attire you would wear to a professional event are accepted (no yoga pants, crocs, tennis shoes, etc). Simply put, NO JEANS, NO T SHIRTS, NO TENNIS SHOES. It's a reception in a nice venue, not a weekend at the State Fair. Dress like you just watched two people get married, not like you're shopping at the grocery store. We will ask you to leave and purchase other clothes if you choose not to follow these simple guidelines, and will not allow you in to the venue until you do.
The safety of all of our guests is our top priority. We are requiring that all of our guests be vaccinated against COVID-19. We will not require you to bring your vaccine card with you, but we do expect honesty. We will follow the latest CDC recommendations for mask wearing. As of right now, masks will not be required as everyone will be vaccinated. However, please feel free to wear one if you are more comfortable doing so. Our venue has a large amount of indoor and outdoor space. Feel free to spread out!
Yes, we were married in a small backyard ceremony on May 1st, 2021. We planned our wedding at the height of the pandemic, and we were unsure when it would be safe to celebrate with everyone. The event on July 18th will be our wedding reception. This event will be more casual than your typical reception. There will be no repeat ceremony, just dinner, drinks, dancing, and celebration.
