FAQs

Question

Why a private ceremony?

Answer

As we began planning a traditional wedding, many of our loved ones encouraged us to slow down, enjoy the moment, and not focus too much on making everything perfect. Along the way, we realized that what mattered most to us wasn’t a large ceremony, but being fully present with each other, and celebrating with the people we love. We chose to exchange our vows in a small, private ceremony, and we’re so excited to celebrate our marriage that evening with our friends and family.

Question

When are you actually getting married?

Answer

We will officially be married earlier that afternoon, followed by a celebration that evening. We want it to feel just like a traditional wedding reception, complete with wedding dress, cake, toasts, and all!

Question

Is this a seated dinner or cocktail-style?

Answer

Food will be served grazing style with a variety of options available throughout the evening.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Per the venue's policy, this event will be 21+ only.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes! We will have a DJ and a dance floor, so start practicing your moves!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that guests plan to arrive for 5:30 p.m., as the celebration will begin shortly after.

Question

Why a Friday?

Answer

Many of our friends and loved ones work in the service industry and would be unable to attend a Saturday celebration. In an effort to include as many of the people we love as possible, we chose to celebrate on a Friday evening.

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

Your presence truly means the most to us, and gifts are absolutely not expected. For those who have asked, we’ve included a small registry with a few items we’ll use and love.
