How do I get to the wedding?

Answer

The address to the resort will take you directly to the Appalachian Hotel. If you are not staying at this hotel, the Red Tail Lodge is located directly to the right of the hotel.

Where do I park?

Answer

Guests staying at the Applachian Hotel are welcome to park their cars in the underground parking garage. Parking spaces will be available outside the Red Tail Lodge for guests driving.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Plan to be ahead of schedule! Gondola rides up to our ceremony location will run between 4:00pm and 4:45pm. Ceremony will begin at 5pm sharp.

Where should I go when it's time for the ceremony?

Answer

Everyone will be taking the gondola up the mountain for the ceremony. The gondola is located at the base of the mountain next to the Red Tail Lodge. There will be signs and attendants around to help you find your way. If you're unable to ride the gondola due to physical limitations, let us know and we'll coordinate with the venue.

What is the gondola?

Answer

The Gondola, also known as the Cabriolet, is a standing ski lift that can fit up to 6 guests at a time. To get to our ceremony, our guests will join us by taking a gorgeous 6 minute ride on the lift to the top of the mountain. Chairs can be provided for guests who need to sit for that period of time. The lift moves slowly while allowing guests to get on and off. There will be attendants to assist you! At the time of the wedding, the Mountain Creek Bike Park will be open. While you board the lift, mountain bikers will be boarding other gondolas at the same time (you will not be sharing your ride with any bikes). Please give yourself enough time to get to the top of the mountain for the ceremony. LAST ride is 4:45pm.

What should I wear?

Answer

American or Indian formalwear equally welcome. We are bringing our two cultures together in one day and look forward to celebrating both. While the dress code is cocktail attire, please dress as you wish in a way that represents you and your culture. We will be dressing to represent both our Indian and American heritage.

What if it rains?

Answer

In the event of inclement weather, including torrential rain, high winds, or thunder/lightning, our ceremony will be moved indoors.

Will the entire event be at the mountain top?

Answer

No, only the ceremony will be outside at the mountain top. Following our ceremony, our guests will take the gondola back to the base of the mountain to the Red Tail Lodge, where cocktail hour and reception will take place. At the base, there will be fire pits and outdoor seating available.

What happens between the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Answer

If there is extra time between the ceremony and cocktail hour, the Biergarten is available for you to mingle and grab drinks. The Biergarten is directly outside the lodge, next to the gondolas. Note: it is open to the public and only credit/debit cards are accepted.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest" then yes. We’d love for you to bring someone special. If not, we’re keeping things intimate and can’t accommodate additional guests. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to space limitations, we are only able to extend invitations to the children of close family. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and promise it’ll be worth the night out!
