There are many different places our love story could begin. Some might say it started in an Uber ride in Chicago, before we even moved to Prague. Others might say it began on a train ride back from Vienna. Still others could argue that it began after building loads of Ikea couches together, or over an almond croissant and coffee on a quaint European street. However, we are going to begin our love story in Daytona Beach, Florida. After two years of working together in Prague, Czech Republic and becoming close friends, we admitted our feelings for one another at New Staff Orientation with Cru, over a couple of long walks on the beach. Two months later, Nick drove up to Raleigh, North Carolina and asked Allison to be his girlfriend. That began our year of long-distance dating, filled with lots of trips to Jubala Coffee, a few dog days out, and endless games of Hive and Bananagrams. A year later, after countless drives and flights between Raleigh and Jacksonville, several redirections, and a move to Indianapolis, Indiana, Nick proposed at Umstead Park in Raleigh. This was the place of our alleged first date (we do not count our actual first date because it was so awkward). As our story has unfolded, we have grown more certain of the ways the Lord has been at work and are confident in His presence throughout our relationship. We cannot wait to celebrate our day with you and see how He continues to work in our lives in the years to come. Thank you for being a part of our story!
