Although Allison and Matt crossed paths a few times during college through mutual friends at St. Michael’s College in Vermont, it wasn’t until after graduation that their story truly began. As St. Mike’s friends settled in Somerville and spent weekends exploring the city, Allison and Matt’s friendship grew naturally. One spontaneous brunch turned into an entire day together — from breweries to an Irish pub — and marked the quiet moment when friendship began to feel like something more. Their transition from friends to partners unfolded naturally. They officially began dating in June 2019 and, over the years, have traveled, renovated their home with the help of family, and built a life grounded in love, laughter, and a deep sense of partnership. After more than six years side by side Matt proposed the day after Thanksgiving in Allison’s hometown of Plymouth. Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated at a brewery, a familiar place that reflects so many meaningful moments. Now, they’re excited to celebrate the love they’ve been building all along.
