We met over pizza in Nashville, where we were both coincidentally on a weekend getaway with friends (Thanks Jon and Chloe)! It is so crazy how 2 random people currently living in Missouri and Iowa met in huge city hours away from home and now are happily in love! This was the first of many "God Shots" in our love story. 10/10 recommend going to Nash for a fun vacation. Who knows! Maybe you will also meet the love of your life.
After dating long-distance during my (Allie's) undergraduate in Kirksville, MO and Matt's medical school in Iowa City, Iowa, God blessed us by directing both our paths to San Antonio, Texas. I moved here to pursue medical school, and Matt matched residency through the military here! For the past 6 months, we have absolutely loved getting to explore a new city and really enjoyed only living 15 minutes from each other. We found our "home" at a local garage gym, a welcoming church community, and in many new lifelong friendships. God has blessed us so much as a couple already, and we cannot wait to see what else the Lord has in store for our future here and beyond!
Matt has a couple years left in his residency, so we will be moving into a beautiful little home in San Antonio after our wedding! Due to medical reasons, Allie had to medically withdrawl from her path of becoming a doctor. However, we know God has a much bigger and better plan in store for her. With the military, we are not sure where we will go after his residency, but we are so excited to possibly get to travel to and live in new places (or even get to stay in San Antonio)! Leading up to our big day, we would love for prayers of health and healing, for willing and open hearts, and for the Lord to work in us to build a marriage and home whose first mission is to always serve the Lord.
