Things To Do in Nashville

Below are a few of the places where we have some of our fondest memories over the past year.

bartaco

2526 12th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37204
, (615) 269-8226

Had more dates here than on a palm tree. Allie loves the duck taco. Matthew prefers the cauliflower taco. They have a great outdoor patio for nice summer evenings.

Frothy Monkey

2509 12th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37204
, (615) 600-4756

Popular local coffee shop but also EXCELLENT food for any time of day. Allie and Matthew had part of their first date at their Franklin location. NOTE: Extra parking is located behind the house.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

2312 12th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37204
, (615) 292-7794

Yes, the first three recommendations have all been located on the same street! Allie and Matthew both love ice cream, and this is their go-to spot for a sweet treat.

Radnor Lake State Park

1160 Otter Creek Road, Nashville, TN 37220
, (615) 373-3467

Not only has this been one of Allie's favorite places to walk for the past ten years, it is also where we got engaged!

The Old School

5022 Old Hydes Ferry Pike, Nashville, TN 37218
, (615) 336-0100

Want to escape the busy city life and enjoy some farm-to-table food, then you should go to one of Allie's favorite spots!

Panera Bread

406 21st Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
, (615) 320-1500

Why is Panera on a things to do list? Because we put it there! Panera has been a staple in our relationship.

Five Daughters Bakery

230 Franklin Road, Franklin, TN 37064
, (615) 933-9332

Check out Five Daughters in either (1) 12th South or (2) Franklin locations! They are famous for the 100 layer donuts/pastries. Allie and her MOH Alyssa recommend the vanilla that is filled with creme <3

Frothy Monkey

125 5th Avenue South, Franklin, TN 37064
, (615) 600-4756

This is where Matt and Allie went on their FIRST DATE. Also take some time to walk around the quaint downtown Franklin- it's one of our favorite spots!

Crockett Park

1500 Volunteer Parkway, Brentwood, TN 37027
, (615) 371-2208

Another great place to go for a walk on a paved trail along a river in Brentwood! You can start at the YMCA off Concord and head south, or start at Crockett park near the tennis courts and walk north. Matt and Allie have been on a few walks here. This is a suggestion because it is close to the hotel and reception spaces in Franklin/Brentwood!

Pinewood Social

33 Peabody Street, Nashville, TN 37210
, (615) 751-8111

Breakfast, lunch, dinner - Pinewood Social has everything including bowling and bocce ball. They've got Crema coffee (try the Cuban!) and delicious breakfast (Allie recommends the biscuits, bacon, and eggs; or avocado toast!)

Centennial Park

2500 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203
, (615) 862-8400

This is an exact replica of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. Matt and Allie have shared many walks here around the park and been to a few festivals on their great lawn! Go for a walk, check out the big columns, maybe even take a few pictures or tour the Greek museum inside.

Ryman Auditorium

116 5th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219
, (615) 889-3060

Matt and Allie went on their 4th date to a concert here. This is THE original Grand Old Opry with amazing acoustics. It's Allie's favorite music venue. During the day they have historical tours and you can also catch a show here!

Grand Ole Opry

2804 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN 37214
, (615) 871-6779

Can go for a walk around the Opryland Hotel (expansive, scenic hotel/convention center) grab some lunch, or catch some country music at the Grand Old Opry. (Pro tip: Park for free at the outlet mall next door and walk in the back entrance to Opryland Hotel)

Pied Piper Creamery

114 South 11th Street, Nashville, TN 37206
, (615) 227-4114

This ice cream shop has fun funky flavors and is located in a children's toy store. This is closeby GamePoint (coffee shop with hundreds of free board games to play) and Five Points Pizza. Matt and Allie went to all of these 3 places on their second date.

Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint

410 4th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37201
, (615) 288-0880

There are many Martin's BBQ locations all over town. This is a favorite local BBQ spot- and surprisingly they are best known for their wings and chicken but you can't go wrong! The 4th avenue location downtown has a fun upstairs bar with shuffleboard, darts, ping pong and occasional live music!

Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant - Downtown Nashville

500 Church Street, Nashville, TN 37219
, (615) 770-2772

Local BBQ and southern food with live music at their downtown Nashville location on the weekends. They also have another location in Downtown Franklin. *There can be a long wait, we would recommend a reservation

The Pharmacy Burger Parlor & Beer Garden

731 Mcferrin Avenue, Nashville, TN 37206
, (615) 712-9517

If it's nice outside- and you're a fan of spending the evening on a bench under twinkle lights- go to the Pharmacy to enjoy great burgers and fries/tots in their "beer garden"! This is also kid friendly as they also have famous cream sodas! You can then drive down the street in East Nashville to have some ice cream at Jeni's!

For all the days along the way
