What time should I be there?

Answer

Please plan to arrive around 6pm, the ceremony will take place at 6:30pm.

Question

Will there be alcohol, or can I bring my own?

Answer

We are not going to be serving alcohol. We kindly request for guest to not bring their own either.

What is the venue like?

Answer

It is indoors and outdoors. With the wedding being in early September, we hope the weather will stay on the warmer end. Please look at the forecast before the event and adjust your outfits accordingly.

What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable—we truly want you to enjoy yourself! That said, we’d love to see everyone a little dressed up for the occasion. The wedding party will be wearing various shades of green and blue, so feel free to coordinate or complement if you'd like! It should be warm out, so we recommend dressing for the weather and the barn setting. Light fabrics, breathable layers, and sturdy shoes (for grass and gravel) are all great choices.

What is parking like?

There is a primary parking space that can fit around 80 cars, though there is also an overflow parking area around 50 yards away. We recommend riding with groups and wearing shoes you feel comfortable walking on gravel with. Please do not park by the cottage, as that is reserved for the wedding party only and has very limited space. There will be someone outside to help with parking as needed.

Where is the event located?

Answer

After the Bride and Groom get sealed and married at the Portland Oregon Temple in the morning, the ring ceremony and reception will take place at Eagles Nest Reserve Winery in Hillsboro. It is on a gravel road so please plan accordingly.

Where should I sit?

Answer

After the ceremony, there will be a brief period where we ask for the guest to help move their chairs inside. There is no seating chart, so please sit by who you would like. The Bride and Groom do their best to visit with everyone!

Can we go outside during the reception?

Answer

If weather permits, we will be having lawn games outside with the barn doors open with additional outdoor seating. The only request is to not disrupt or walk through the vineyard and to respect the winery's property.

Is there going to be food?

Answer

Yes! We are going to have a smaller dessert table as well as a dinner, which will be Hawaiian food.

Can I go to the Temple portion?

Answer

Due to the capacity limitation of the Temple, individual invites were sent to those attending the sealing ceremony. If you would like to be at the exit afterwards, please plan to be outside the wedding exit at 9:30am. We understand it is an early time on a Friday and we do not want anyone to feel obligated to try and make it!
