Written by Allison - In 2021, during the pandemic, I had given up on dating apps but decided to give Bumble one more try. I matched with Kiernan, who had very few details on his profile—just a few answered questions and a couple of pictures. Despite this, I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did! He sent back actual sentences, responded in a timely manner, and had interesting things to talk about. We bonded over our love of books and how close we are to our families. We met a few weeks later at Feast BBQ for a four-hour date; they were closing when we finally left. From there, we continued to go on dates and tried to spend time together during the week. Kiernan slowly got to meet some of my friends and family. Then, on my birthday in March, he met a lot of my friends and he got their stamp of approval. In May 2023, we moved in together because I wanted to live together before getting married, and we haven't killed each other yet.
