Where is Manning Park?

Answer

Manning Park is located on the Hope-Princeton Highway (Hwy. 3), in the heart of the Cascade Mountain Range in beautiful southern British Columbia.

How do I get there?

Answer

Manning Park Resort is easily accessible from both the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. It takes approximately 3 hours to get there from Vancouver, 45 minutes from Hope, and 1 hour from Princeton. You can get directions here: https://goo.gl/maps/tZMij

What accommodations are availble?

Answer

We have the following blocked off under our name (price per night); Queen Lodge Room ($174) - Sleeps up to 4 Mini Suite ($189) - Sleeps up to 6 Deluxe Cabin ($379) - Sleeps up to 10 There is also camping available in the area. If you would like to stay at the Resort, please call the front desk (604) 668-5922 to make your reservation under the Kirkaldy/Barrette Wedding. Do not book online.

Is there parking available at the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Yes! The resort has plenty of free parking.

Will there be a shuttle to the ceremony?

Answer

We will be providing a shuttle to and from the ceremony. Lightning Lake is a five minute drive from the Resort.

Is there a Registry?

Answer

We are so grateful for everyone's generosity and making the trip to be with us on our special day! Please don't feel obligated to get us a gift. We will have a card box set up for any cards you may bring. Please feel free to donate to our honeymoon fund. We will be traveling to Australia in October! If you prefer to give gifts instead of cash, we have created a small Gift Registry. Contact Stella Carruthers and she will send it to you. Can I bring my dog?

Answer

Yes! There are pet-friendly accommodations available. Please inform the resort if you are bringing your dog. Dogs must be kept on leash at all times within the Provincial Park.

May I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate additional guests.

Do I still need to RSVP if I am unable to attend?

Answer

Yes, we would appreciate it if you would inform us as soon as possible either way.

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony will be outdoors and our reception will be held indoors.

What should I do in between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Since they are at the same venue we ask that you enjoy our cocktail hour in between. This will be held at the green space near our cabins. Food, beverages, and yard games will be available.

What if I have a dietary restriction/food allergy?

May I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?

Answer

We will be having an "Unplugged Ceremony" and request that no photos be taken at that time. We have hired fabulous photographer and promise to share all of the photos with you! After the couple has been announced as husband and wife, you are welcome to take photos!

What activities/services does the resort have?

Answer

Onsite dining, pub, liquor/grocery store, indoor heated pool, exercise room, sauna, two hot tubs, steam room, recreation room, tennis courts, and basketball.

What is there to do in the area?

Answer

Biking, camping, canoe/kayak/paddleboard rentals, and hiking.

Will last names be changing after the wedding?
