Things To Do

Bainbridge Island Ferry

Seattle Ferry Terminal, Seattle, WA 98104

No car required, easy walk to downtown area with cute shops and restaurants. And the ferry ride itself is pretty!

Deception Pass Bridge

North Whidbey, Oak Harbor, WA 98277

Requires a car, can get there either by car ferry or driving across the bridge. Whidbey Island is a great day trip, pretty beaches, walking around Langley is fun, you may even see a whale!

Ballard (Hiram M. Chittenden) Locks

3015 Northwest 54th Street, Seattle, WA 98107
, (206) 780-2500

Walk around the grounds/gardens, see the locks connecting Lake Union to Puget Sound, maybe a sea lion, and there will be all sorts of boats passing through.

Discovery Park

3801 Discovery Park Boulevard, Seattle, WA 98199
, (206) 386-4236

Giant urban park with miles of trails. Forrest, beaches, bluffs with great views of the Olympic peninsula, you won't feel like you are in a city. Josh is always trying to find an owl (no luck so far!)

Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture

4300 15th Avenue Northeast, Seattle, WA 98105
, (206) 543-7907

Newly renovated natural history museum, really interesting with a northwest focus, great for a rainy day!

Pike Place Market

Seattle, WA

Classic Seattle destination, lots of food and crafts. Watch out for flying fish!

Museum of Pop Culture

325 5th Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109
, (206) 770-2700

Museum of Pop Culture in a cool Frank Gehry building, right by the Space Needle.

Chihuly Garden and Glass

305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109
, (206) 753-4940

Fancy glass sculptures, also in Seattle Center right by MoPOP and the Space Needle

For all the days along the way
