we're getting married!

You never expect to fall in love with someone from your hometown after you leave it- but that's exactly what happened to Allison and Jesse. Even though they grew up just ten minutes apart and went to the same middle and high school and had so many mutual friends, their paths never crossed until Allison's first weekend of college at the University of South Florida (go bulls). Allison was a freshman and Jesse was a sophomore. Allison met him and his amazing friends, who welcomed her instantly. Allison and Jesse were just friends for over a year before they started dating. Neither of them thought that a fellow Dr. Phillips High School Panther would end up being "the one." They went to college thinking they would meet people from all over. Instead, they met someone who had been right under their noses the whole time. From the start Allison and Jesse just clicked. Before they were officially dating, Allison would "coincidentally" show up at the gym where Jesse worked. Jesse would meet her for lunch in between his classes saying it was more convenient for him instead of going home but they both knew he just wanted an excuse to hangout. They started doing everything together: walking to class, studying, watching TV, and cooking meals. Allison basically moved into his apartment, even though she had a perfectly good dorm room right down the street that her parents paid for, (apologies to her mom and dad). Allison and Jesse were inseparable. They could be unapologetically themselves in front of each other no matter what. At this point, friends kept asking them if they were dating yet but they always denied it by saying, "we're just friends." Deep down though, both of them knew that wasn't quite true. And one day, 6 months later, Jesse picked up Allison from her place with flowers and asked her to be his girlfriend. After saying yes, they celebrated at Cold Stone. Eight years later, Allison and Jesse have built a life filled with laughter, comfort, and a love that is indescribable. They still do everything together- only now, they share their first home and their sweet baby kitties, Russell and Chopper. And in that very home, Jesse got down on one knee and asked Allison the easiest question she had ever answered.
