July 4th started out as a great morning in Sarasota, Florida-yes, that's right, July 4th. We had a sunset catamaran cruise booked to go through Tampa Bay and watch the sunset over the horizon, with the hope of some fireworks from downtown, and that's when Jesse was going to propose! Great story, right? Unfortunately, midway through the cruise, the skies opened up, and thunderstorms on the bay forced a hasty retreat back to the house. The next morning, the 5th, was scheduled to be the last full day in Florida, and turned out to be another great morning. Jesse got up and asked Allison if she'd like to go to the beach with her family. She agreed-though not exactly sure why Jesse wanted to go back to the beach after being there the day before. After Jesse took some pictures of Allison's family, he gave Lisa the phone, and took his usual picture spot alongside Allison. As Allison went back to check to see how the picture turned out, Jesse pulled the ring from his back pocket, and surprised Allison as she turned back to retake the picture. This time, Lisa got every angle and captured a great moment, that proved to be an amazing last day on the beach, and a wonderful beginning to a great journey for Allison and Jesse.
