Get to know some of our favorite people who will be walking down the aisle with us!

Jimmy McLaughlin

Officiant

Jimmy is Allison's older brother. Growing up, Allison and Jimmy like any siblings, fought their fair share of times but they always knew they had each other to lean on when they needed it most. Jimmy, rarely missed a dance recital or musical and Allison rarely missed a hockey or baseball game, they were always each other's number one fans. Jimmy was Allison's biggest role model and best friend. She always wanted to be just like her brother for example, Jimmy ran cross country so Allison did too. Some of Allison's favorite memories with her brother are when he came home from college in Ohio to surprise her at her homecoming marching band show, when Jimmy snuck his kitten Ricky into their parents home, and the many knee hockey games in the upstairs hallway that Jimmy took a little too seriously sometimes! When Hunter proposed, Allison knew she wanted her brother to have a very important role in the wedding and with his wit and charisma, immediately thought of the idea of making him their officiant. Allison is grateful Jimmy said yes and will be the one to help them tie the knot!

Taylor Rapp-McMahon

Matron of Honor

Taylor and Allison met in 1st grade in the Malone's class but their friendship really blossomed in middle school! They have been each other's person for over 10 years and in that time they have shared so many memories together. Some of the best and most cherished memories are, an OIB vacation before senior year, YoBerry and wing night dates, winery trips on Keuka lake and most importantly Taylor's wedding. When they were young, they made a promise that one day when they each got married, they would be each other's maid of honors and that promise never broke. Taylor and Allison are not just best friends but truly family. Alan and Beth (Rapp) and Jim and Linda (McLaughlin) have all accepted the honor of having an extra daughter. Taylor and Allison have been with each other through the highest highs and the lowest lows, through the trials of going to different colleges and Taylor's move to Albany but their friendship has never dwindled. All these challenges have only made it stronger. It's safe to say, Allison would not be the person she is today without Taylor.

Jake Marsh

Best Man

Jake is Hunter’s younger brother and the two of them share countless memories together. The many nerf wars they had in the upstairs hallway of their childhood home, or playing round after round of super smash bros and mario kart are just a couple of the highlights. They also share many experiences during their time in boy scouts, countless summers in the Adirondacks, and exploring Boston and Washington DC. One of Hunter’s favorite memories is when Hunter picked Jake up from high school and headed to Canada (with parental approval) to pick up their friend Maddy from the airport. Like many siblings the two of them argued and annoyed each other, but Hunter is so proud of his younger brother, watching him become an eagle scout and chasing his dreams of becoming a physical therapy assistant. Hunter is beyond grateful that he has his younger brother standing next to him on his big day and hopes he gets the chance to repay his brother in the future and do the same for him.

Katie Arriaga

Bridesmaid

Katie and Allison met in 4th grade where they quickly became very close friends. They have shared so many memories over their countless years of friendship. From the many sleepovers, school dances, driving to school listening to Disney music (mostly Frozen) everyday senior year, to watching Katie become a mother...the memories are endless! Even with Katie living 600 miles away, they still text, Snapchat or FaceTime everyday and see each other whenever possible. Allison and Hunter stayed with Katie and Sam (Katie's husband) in North Carolina while on their way to the beach before Hunter proposed. This night was also when Katie shared with Allison that she was expecting for the second time! Sam joked that it was going to be twins and ironically enough he was right. Now Allison and Hunter are more commonly known as Aunt Allie and Uncle Hunter to Katie and Sam's 3 little ones! Katie was even able to plan the twins first birthday party to be on Allison's work break so she could make the trip to North Carolina to be there! Even when some time passed without each other, when they reconnected it was as if no time had passed at all. Through childhood, awkward teen years, marriage and motherhood, all of the highs and lows of friendship, Allison and Katie have truly defined friendship.

Madi Brietzke

Bridesmaid

Madi is Allison's future sister in law! Madi and Jimmy (officiant) have been together for over 9 years. Over these years, Madi has really become a part of the McLaughlin family! From holiday dinners, family vacations to the beach, being a part of each other's engagements and more, they share so many memories. One of Hunter and Allison's favorite memories with Madi is that she was a special part in their ring shopping journey since she works at a jewelry store. She was there to help them look at engagement rings, put finishing touches on Allison's ring with Hunter and helped them again when it came time to shop for wedding bands. Being future sister in-laws, Madi is the closest thing Allison has to a sister. They are always there to vent to each other when Jimmy is being annoying or go on late night ice cream runs during vacation. Allison can't wait to share more memories with Madi in the future!

Abbey Rapp

Bridesmaid

Abbey is Taylor (MOH) younger sister which means Abbey is like a little sister to Allison. For over the last decade, Allison has gotten to watch Abbey grow up from a little girl to a beautiful young woman. Along the way, they have shared so many memories. Some of the highlights have been, family dinners, Christmas, New Years and birthday celebrations, movie nights, graduation celebrations and so much more. Some of Allison's favorite memories with Abbey are singing "Sister's" at a Christmas chorus concert, Rancho dates, and Allison helping Abbey with driving a few times! Through the years they have both leaned on each other when times were hard and cheered each other on during the good times. Allison is excited to share more memories with Abbey over the coming years!

Jack Lyons

Groomsman

Jack and Hunter met in middle school and have been best friends for over a decade where they have shared many memories over the years. One of those memories is going on the skycoaster at Darien Lake which required Jack to pull the chord to drop us; he took that role very seriously by saying it wouldn't release then proceeding to drop us without any warning. Another memory Hunter recounts is when they snuck pints of ice cream into a movie theater under beanies in the middle of winter. They also share many journeys together like driving to meet Nora so the three of them could see Avengers: Endgame together and driving down to visit their friend Maddy when she was stationed in Maryland for the airforce. They may or may not have gotten a little lost along the way. Now, as they prepare for Hunter’s wedding, they know that this is just the next chapter in their long and storied friendship, a chapter that's sure to be filled with more unforgettable moments.

Nora Foster

Groomswoman

Nora and Hunter met in middle school and have been best friends for over a decade. Throughout their many years of friendship they have created countless memories together. Many of them stemming from their time in scouts, like when they sailed around the Florida Keys for a week going snorkeling, exploring little islands and catching giant fish together. The two of them also got to celebrate the achievement of receiving the rank of eagle scout which Hunter couldn’t imagine doing it with anyone else by his side. Hunter and Nora have also gone on some amazing adventures as well like exploring the fields of Gettysburg after they finally got there from Glenn’s GPS getting them lost and seeing the monuments of Washington DC. To this day, they keep on creating memories with Jack during their frequent gaming sessions. Ultimately, their friendship is defined by shared experiences, laughter, and a bond that only deepens with each passing adventure.

Kyle McMahon

Groomsman

Hunter met Kyle in September of 2021 during the annual wine weekend where they instantly hit it off and since that day, they have shared many memories together. Some of those memories are playing wine pong, Christmas celebrations, weekends in Troy and celebrating Kyle and Taylor’s (MOH) wedding. One memory that sticks out would have to be when they ordered pizza for Kyle's bachelor party. The pizzeria stabbed a million holes into the box of wings and might have given us an undercooked pizza. Hunter believes that the pizza is still browning to this day, if you know you know. Kyle has also been a huge support to Hunter throughout the wedding planning process. Kyle is always willing to give advice and help with anything he can. Hunter can’t wait to see what the future holds for the two and see the memories they will make along the way.
