we are getting married!

On March 27th, 2020 during the Covid-19 shutdown we planned to meet in Troy for our three year anniversary. I (Allison) needed to go to Troy to get a few things for my family at home since the shutdown led to shortages for several items. Garren agreed to meet me in Troy and spend a little time with me on my quick trip. I made plans for us to eat at one of our favorite local restaurant, Sips on the Square and since restaurants were closed I thought a picnic in my favorite place downtown Troy would be fun. I made this all WAY too easy for Garren. Rewind to December and Garren had already began planning. He got my roommates (Katie and Erin) to go downtown and take pictures of downtown Troy so he could have a painting made of him proposing to me. On the day of the proposal we met at my house and went downtown to eat and like I had planned. Before we walked to get our pizza, Garren said he wanted to open our gifts first. We walked into the gazebo and sat down to exchange gifts. (I got Garren socks with my face on it) Garren handed me a big bag. Inside the bag I pulled out a painting of Garren proposing in the exact spot we were. I looked up to see Garren down on one knee, of course I said YES after lots of hugs and tears!
