Our Love Story

All Because Two People Swiped Right

Most of you know that we met online. We swiped right on each other in the middle of September 2021. Dylan was on a deployment in Okinawa,Japan. 7,852 miles away, 13 hours ahead, on the other side of the world. After many nights and mornings of staying up late or waking up early, lunch time video chats, and countless snapchats… on November 17th, 2021 DYLAN CAME HOME! We went on our first date on November 20th, 2021. We went to see my alma mater put on a production of Aladdin. After the musical we went and had dinner. We had terrible service and half of our order was wrong but we still had a great time laughing and getting to know each other! December 17th, Dylan went home on leave to be with his family for Christmas, and we were miserable without each other. We texted all day and facetimed every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. We both knew then that we wanted to take the next step. We both had prayed and felt God telling us that we were meant to marry, and we had started praying and preparing our hearts for engagement. December 31st, a family friend was getting married here in NC. I was sad that Dylan was not here to go to the wedding with me. I told him this and he decided that he would be there. So Dylan got in his truck and drove from Alabama all the way back to North Carolina to be my wedding date and new years kiss. The following day he drove back to Alabama to finish out his leave and spend the rest of his time with his family. (*Pausing to give you time to swoon*) It was at this point, I truly knew that I wanted to be with Dylan for the rest of my life. April 10th,2021. Dylan had a ring picked out for a few months, he had the ring in his possession for a few weeks and he could not wait untl I turned 20 to propose. ( I had told him from the beginning that he had to wait until I turned 20 before he could propose. I had a ring on my hand the day after I turned 20.) My family and friends had come over and we were celebrating my birthday. I knew I would become a fiancee soon, it wasn’t a secret. (Anyone who knows Dylan knows he can’t keep a secret to save his life.) While everyone was taking pictures with the birthday girl, he got down on one knee and proposed (three times….haha, third times a charm!) It was the best birthday ever! November 5th,2022. Our wedding day. Vowing to love and honor each other in front of our friends and family. The best day ever, because I finally get to marry my best friend. We cannot wait to see how God uses us as a couple to honor and glorify him and we are so excited for this next journey of our life! Thank you all for being part of our lives and thank you for your continued support and prayers!

For all the days along the way
