Within a week of matching on Tinder we went on our first date. Our first restaurant of choice was closed because it was a Monday, the second had a long wait, so we ended up at Angelo's Pizzaria. Since then Angelo's has held a special place in our hearts (& stomachs), made even better by the fact that we now live in their delivery range. I (Allison) will always remember how DJ's eyes lit up on our first date when I told him that I'd been wanting to play D&D since listening to The Adventure Zone podcast. We were destined to be game nerds together.

After dinner with DJ and the kids at the apartment one night DJ sat me down on the couch with the kids standing in front of us DJ told me they had some questions for me. They had their scripts, and this is what they wanted to know: Asher: Allison, did you know that we love your cooking? Did you know that we love playing games with you? Caleb: Did you know that we think you are cute, kind and fun? Lots of fun! Eli: Did you know that you make our dad really happy? Asher: Would you like to have movie nights with us till the couch isn't big enough for all of us? Caleb: Would you like to play board games with us, even when we start to beat you at them all the time? Eli: Would you like to share your cats with us? Asher: Will you be our step-mom? Caleb: WIll you be our dad's wife? Eli: Will you be our Allison? And then DJ took the ring our of his pocket and asked "Will you marry me?" Obviously, my answer to all of their questions was "Yes!"
