It's finally happening!

The seeds of our love story were planted during our sophomore year of high school. Facebook wall messages sprouted into texts and grew into sneaking out to the park late at night. Sooner or later we were leaving class early to kiss in the locker bay and lying to our parents about our new "friend" (oops!). Before we knew it, our relationship blossomed to what it is today. Despite the challenges of long distance in college, we fought through the weeds and came out stronger than before. We finally reunited and made the move to Chicago to take on whatever else the world has waiting for us!

For the months leading up to June, I searched and searched for the perfect ring and found the right time to pop the question. Allison and I planned a normal trip to the Navy Pier with some of our closest friends. It was a beautiful sunny day and I couldn't wait to take her to a nearby park to "take pictures in front of the skyline." As we were posing, I pulled the ring out of my back pocket and our lives changed forever. I got down on one knee and SHE SAID YES!
