Years of prayer from 2 families yet to meet The watchful eye of a big brother All culminate in a providential opportunity Allison always said that the only way she’d meet a guy was if God brought him to her, here on the farm. In June of 2018 Allison had ordered a semi-truck load of hay from Ohio and was in desperate need of strong bodies with willing hands to move over 600 bales from the truck to the hayloft. It was providence, and, as she later learned, a little mischievous plotting and planning between Daniel & Allison’s brother. Stephen, already seeing the possibilities and laying the groundwork, suggested to this friend at his company that he should volunteer to come help with hay as an opportunity to come meet Allison. Daniel, intrigued by this first meeting, made an appointment with Allison for a riding lesson just 2 days later. Lingering after the lesson turned into an invite to join in on a group outing to the rodeo that night. Within the week an official courtship was in place. Daily bible studies and weekly meetings with a church elder guided them as their deep conversations grew their affection for one another. Upon receiving permission from Allison’s father, Daniel began to strategize with her siblings on the perfect proposal. After a leisurely horseback ride, ring in pocket, a detour to the barn to see something of “concern” in the loft was the perfect pre-planned (and decorated) setting for a proposal. Now we’re planning for and looking toward the day when our hearts will be bound together before God in holy matrimony.
