Daniel graduated from Texas A&M in 2017 and moved to Albuquerque to work at Sandia Labs soon after. Allie graduated from Texas Tech University in 2017 and also moved back to Albuquerque to work at Sandia around the same time. They both attended Hope Church, but they didn't meet for over a year. On December 2nd, 2018, Daniel prayed for a partner in ministry. He had been praying frequently about his leadership role and desired a partner. The same Sunday morning, Allie followed through in making a connection with a guy who was a potential partner for the young adult leadership team. Allie walked in the church classroom and met Daniel for the first time. They hit it off right away as they shared their vision for ministry and shared many interests including travel, photography, and engineering. A few weeks later, Daniel was brave enough to go on a ski trip with just Allie and her dad. It was that weekend that he asked her out on a date, and she excitedly said yes. The next few months flew by as Daniel and Allie grew in their relationship pursing Christ together in ministry and enjoying their mutual hobbies. They enjoyed a busy summer with several family trips to Mexico, Canada, Oklahoma, and Colorado. They grew in their mutual respect and affection for one another and fell in love. On December 7, 2019, Daniel asked Allie to marry him! They went up to Santa Fe for a winter photoshoot, which is not uncommon in their relationship, and Daniel picked out the perfect spot. He set up his camera, came over nervously to where Allie was standing, and proposed! And she of course said yes 💕
