A Summer love

Our love story began in the nation’s Capital, Washington D.C in 2017. On a warm summer evening in early June, Allison just finished a 5k race with her friend who mentioned his friends were getting dinner at Clarendon Ballroom not too far away and asked if she would like to join. This is where Allison and Dan were first introduced. As the Spring of 2018 began to blossom so did Allison and Dan's friendship. Dan began to appear at more weekend group hikes, brunches, and get-togethers where he caught more of Allison's attention. It wasn’t until Dan joined Allison’s Thursday night DC Fray kickball team on the National Mall that they began to form a close bond. They found themselves immersed in conversation and giggling over really bad jokes Dan would send Allison daily. One day, (in late June) Dan suggested they try the gourmet pizza at Ghibellina on 14th street, and from that point forward their love for one another began to grow every day. On one of their many walks down to the Lincoln Memorial, they began to realize their commonalities went far beyond a love for hiking, 70's rock bands, and obviously pizza. They both missed being in the Northeast and eventually made the move, Allison to Queens and Dan to New Jersey. In late December of 2019, Allison and Dan shared a romantic brunch at the Boathouse in Central Park overlooking the pond. After they exhausted themselves ice skating in the park, Dan suggested they take a moment to observe the city skyline on a park bench overlooking The Plaza Hotel. Suddenly, he got on one knee and proposed! Together, beaming with happiness, they celebrated the day with dinner at One if by Land, Two if by Sea. We are so excited and hope you can join us on another special June summer evening on the 27th to celebrate our union.
