FAQs

The Wedding Website of Allison Baty and Connor Harder
Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’re keeping the celebration more intimate. If your children were listed on the invitation, they’re absolutely invited!

Question

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

We recommend guests plan to arrive between 4:00 and 4:15 PM for our 4:30 PM ceremony. This allows time to get settled and find your seat before we begin. Parking onsite is limited, so we strongly encourage guests to take the shuttle from Hotel Fort Des Moines. Shuttle times will be shared closer to the wedding date.

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 24, 2026.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes, there will be a shuttle between the venue and Hotel Fort Des Moines. Shuttles to the venue will be at 3:15pm and 3:45pm. Shuttles to the hotel will be at 8:45pm, 9:15pm, and 10pm.

Question

Are there any accommodations nearby?

Answer

Yes! We've reserved a block of rooms at the Hotel Fort Des Moines, a charming and historic spot right in the heart of downtown. Check the "travel" tab of our website for more details.

Question

Where can I find the wedding registry?

Answer

You’ll find everything on the “Registry” tab of this website. Thank you so much for thinking of us!

Question

Are plus ones allowed?

Answer

To keep things cozy, we kindly ask that you only bring a plus one if they were listed on your invitation. We’re so excited to celebrate with you!

Question

What is the appropriate attire?

Answer

We would love for our guests to dress in “garden party” attire, which is a step above casual but not as formal as black tie. Think polished, comfortable, and appropriate for an outdoor setting. For men, this could look like lightweight dress pants or chinos paired with a button-down shirt or polo. A sport coat or blazer is a great addition but not required. Lighter colors and breathable fabrics like linen or cotton work especially well for the setting and season. Loafers or dress shoes are perfect, and ties are optional. Overall, aim for a neat, put-together look that feels relaxed yet refined. For women, think light, flowy, colorful dresses. Midi or full length dresses are great options, along with dressy sandals, heels, or flats that are comfortable for walking on grass. Accessories can be simple and elegant, and a light wrap or shawl is a nice addition for the evening. Attire for the welcome party is casual—think relaxed and comfortable. Attire for the farewell brunch is also casual, perfect for an easy, laid-back morning.
