Love you a brunch!

Our mutual friends (hi Christine and Farkas) were working down in Kentucky and invited friends down for the Kentucky Derby. The groups mingled for a birthday/cinco de mayo party where Clint showed off his pool skills and we spent the whole day of derby together. The rest is history....

We had taken a long weekend in October and had thought about going up north but instead decided to have a staycation spending some time at our favorite places. Allison had thought if Clint was going to propose it would’ve been on Friday but when he didn’t she figured it must not be this weekend. We spent Saturday watching the wolverines and had decided to go into Ann Arbor to eat at Hopcat to watch the Wisconsin vs. MSU game (where we had our first date). Following dinner and a badgers win, Clint suggested we look at the fall colors so we went to the Nichols Arboretum. Allison noticed Clint seemed nervous as we got down by the river, then as the sun was setting Clint proposed in a quiet spot right by the water, that was a little muddy. Allison cried and was shocked, she immediately said yes. Clint custom designed Allison’s ring all on his own with the help of her Pinterest. We waited to tell family and friends until the next day to enjoy the moment.
