Cinco de Mayo (Cinco de ‘Avery’) 2022 was the night that started it all. We both found ourselves at a friend's 21st birthday dinner at El Melvin in downtown Sarasota. After dinner, the group climbed into an elevator and ventured to the rooftop of the Art Ovation hotel. Amidst a crowded rooftop with loud music and a busy environment, we stood side by side for nearly half an hour without notice of the outside world. We quickly covered all our topics of common interest - travel, international missions, music, the outdoors, culture, and our faiths. Almost immediately, we arrived at the same common ground in our beliefs, values, and spiritual walk in Christ - the fire was lit. The night continued on and came to a successful conclusion…. we exchanged phone numbers (such a funny story.. Ask us about it!). Following the summer we met, our journey together truly began. Our first year and a half together was marked by long-distance dating. In one season our distance was a 2 hour's drive between Bradenton and Gainsville, and in the next season, we found ourselves venturing from North Carolina and Florida by car or plane. With a consistent date night every Tuesday and a once-a-month visit at the longest, we found our unity together through a Christ-centered relationship. In these two years together we’ve created many first, lifelong memories, and more to come. Our first camping trip to St. Augustine, FL, our first concert - Tyler Childers, our first football game - Florida Gators, a New Years Eve trip to Charleston, South Carolina, and exploring the Appalachian mountains more than once. Our journey together has been nothing short of a miracle. We’ve been in the same place together more than once and never met or crossed paths. Needless to say, it was God’s perfect timing that brought us together and has kept us together through our commitment, unconditional love, and faithfulness to Him and each other. We can’t wait for you to join us on our special day as we celebrate, not just us, but the unity of our lives and all our loved ones together on March 29, 2025. See you there! Love Cameron and Allison
