FAQs

If you have any questions, other than what is listed below, please reach out to Allie at 859-479-8800
Question

Where does the wedding take place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Triple Crown Country Club in Union, Kentucky.

Question

Will there be parking or transportation provided?

Answer

There is a large, free parking lot in front of the venue.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony starts promptly at 5:00 PM. Guests should arrive between 4:30 and 4:45 PM unless their invitation notes an earlier arrival for photos.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re keeping our celebration intimate and within budget, so we’re only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. We truly wish we could invite everyone!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

The only children attending will be those in the wedding party (and their siblings, if applicable). We’re keeping it adults-only otherwise. We love your little ones, but we want you to enjoy an stress-free evening!

Question

Can I invite someone else or swap my guest?

Answer

Please don’t bring additional guests or substitute someone else if your guest can’t make it. We’ve been very intentional with our guest list, and we ask that only those who are specifically invited attend. If someone on your invite can’t come, just let us know!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! The ceremony will be held outdoors beneath a sheltered awning. Dinner will be served indoors, and the remainder of the reception will move back outdoors under the awning — weather permitting.

Question

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes! Come hungry—we’re serving a buffet dinner and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. We’ll also have beer kegs flowing until they run out. If beer isn’t your thing or you want something stronger, a cash bar will be available all night for other alcoholic drinks.

Question

I have a dietary restriction—what should I do?

Answer

Please contact Allie at 859-479-8800 or thewinks2026@gmail.com as soon as possible so we can work with the venue to make sure you’re taken care of!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

“Semi-Formal Garden Attire” Translation: A traditional semi-formal look with a focus on comfortable, lighter fabrics and brighter colors for an outdoor setting. For ladies, think long or dressy midi dresses. For gentlemen, suits in lighter colors or materials (tie optional). Dressy, but fun and light. Think bright colors, pastels, and floral prints. Please steer clear of white, cream, and other bridal shades, as well as deep fall tones, black, and denim.

Question

Are there any colors guests should avoid wearing?

Answer

Please steer clear of white, cream, and other bridal shades, as well as deep fall tones, black, and denim. Our wedding will have a bright, spring/summer aesthetic and we’d love for your outfit to complement that too!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony—we’re investing in professional photography and videography so everyone can be fully present. Don’t worry, we’ll share the photos!

Question

Can I post about the wedding on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! We’re so excited to celebrate with you and would love to see all the memories you capture—especially at the reception. To make it easy for everyone to share their photos in one place, we'll have a shared Google folder where you can upload all your images. We can’t wait to see what you capture!

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding registry is conveniently located in the registry tab on this site. We've curated a selection of cash funds, which are our preferred gift option, along with a carefully chosen collection of items from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/TheWinkelmans2026

Question

Where should I stay if I’m coming in from out of town?

Answer

We don’t anticipate many out-of-town guests, so no hotel block is needed. If you’re traveling, feel free to reach out to us for suggestions!
