Anthony and Allison first knew of each other briefly as teenagers, spending summers on Paw Paw Lake at Nature’s Cove. Though they only saw each other once at age 15, life took them in different directions and nearly 7 years passed without crossing paths again. In the late spring of 2020, fate stepped back in. Anthony added Allison on Snapchat, secretly hoping he might see her again during Memorial Day weekend at the lake. Curious why he had added her, Allison decided to message him first—especially after her mom sent her Anthony’s graduation photo that his mom had proudly shared on Facebook. That weekend, the two reunited at the lake, and sparks flew instantly. Within weeks they were dating, making summer plans, and beginning what would become the adventure of a lifetime. As their relationship grew, Allison opened the Clothing Bar storefront in Bourbonnais, IL, while Anthony headed off to graduate school at Indiana State University, where he earned the starting quarterback position. Even with busy schedules, the two made time for each other, traveling back and forth every weekend. For Anthony’s 22nd birthday, Allison gifted him a trip to Mexico. But when Anthony misplaced his passport just weeks before departure, their plans changed. Instead, they flew to Florida to visit Allison’s sisters. During the trip, they fell in love with Southwest Florida—and heard for the first time about Ave Maria School of Law. When Anthony later received an acceptance letter and scholarship to Ave Maria, it felt like destiny. In August 2022, the two packed up their lives and moved to Fort Myers, FL, where Anthony began law school and Allison transitioned Clothing Bar into an online business. A year later, they moved to Naples and welcomed a new family member: their dog, Cashew. Their journey continued with new milestones—Anthony’s internship in New York City, where he proposed to Allison overlooking the Empire State Building, surrounded by their families, and Allison launching Sewing Bar while Anthony finished law school. In the summer of 2025, Anthony passed the bar exam and accepted a position with a law firm in Fort Myers. Together, Anthony and Allison are building a life they love in Florida, grateful for the unexpected twists and turns that brought them from Paw Paw Lake to forever.
