We're Getting Married!

We had our first date at Chipotle, I had met him there between my classes I was taking. We ordered our food, sat down and ate our food. We joked about how I had to limp around, because at the time I was stuck wearing a walking boot. Alex made the joke of calling me gimpy, still to this day calls me gimpy. It was after this day I knew Alex was the man I wanted to be with, because he showed me I could be who I am, and joke around with me. I had never met someone who was okay with me being myself and being who I am in front of their family and friends.

Alex had me fooled from the beginning. I thought we were just going out with Erin and Sara to check out a new spot they had for photography. Alex and I were both wearing shorts and wild T-Shirts, when he asked me if I wanted to change, and I insisted I was fine wearing what I was wearing. Alex had finally convinced me to change so I changed. We got to the spot, and started walking up the road into the field, where Erin and Sara had everything set up. Once Alex and I got closer he stopped to "tie" his shoe, and I continued to walk, and saw his niece and nephew walk out from behind a tree. With his niece holding a sign saying 'Allie, will you marry Uncle Alex?" I instantly turned around and found Alex on his knee. From then the tears started flowing and I couldn't stop, I had to ask Alex to make sure it wasn't a joke - because he would always joke about things like this.

Alex and I want to thank you all in joining us in the best days of our lives. There have been many ups and downs, from planning a wedding during a world wide pandemic, to losing family members, to getting engaged and moving into our house and adding a puppy into our lives. The one thing we both know is we would not have gotten to this point without all of you and your help. THANK YOU all, we love you all mucho!
