The Providence station is a ~45 minute drive from Newport. To get to downtown Newport from the station you can either call an Uber or catch the Ride-The-Bay-Ferry. The Ferry departs from 25 India Street, which is a 25 minute walk from the station. There is also a free shuttle service to the terminal via the Route 91 bus.
