Ladies and gentlemen, If I could have your attention for a moment, I’d like to share a little story about how Allison and I first crossed paths. It all began during heart of covid in August 2020 in Chicago. One Sunday, we matched on the dating app Hinge. I remember Allison wasted no time and on the very day we matched she asked if I would want to meet up and go for a walk. As dates go, not only was it pretty rare that the day you match, you also have a first date but Allison was determined to waste no time. Also, since this was covid, we walked around the neighborhood with our masks for most of the date. It wasn’t until the very end, standing 10 feet apart, that we finally took off our masks. As fate would have it, Allison and I had just started our 4 year journey. That fall I podded up with Allison and Paige (her friend and roommate at the time), and we began to really get to know each other and over time, meet each other’s friends and family. As our friendship blossomed into something more, we discovered so many shared interests—like board games, snacks, hiking, hosting, traveling and much more. Those moments together brought us closer, and I realized how lucky I was to have found someone so genuinely kind, go with the flow and always down for an adventure. Speaking of adventures, Allison and I have been on a few. To exploring the Chateaux of the Loire River Valley, clinking beers at Octoberfest in Munich and to the probably 5+ weddings a year. To surprise birthday parties, Shabat dinners and the numerous hosting events with our friends. I could not of asked for a better companion and date. With every shared moment, I realized how our journeys became intertwined. Looking back, I can’t help but smile at the serendipity of it all. Who would have thought that a simple Sunday walk could lead to such a beautiful journey together? So here’s to love, laughter, and the magical moments that brought us together. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
