WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Thanks to match.com, we went on our first date at the beginning of July, 2015 and the rest was history! We hit it off right away and our next date was the "Thirth of July" festival in East Nashville. Little did we know we would be celebrating our anniversary at that same festival with our new puppy the next year. Those first few dates were followed by many more fun times exploring our new city. Ian had moved to Nashville that same year, and I had only been there a few months longer, so we both loved finding interesting concert venues, festivals, and restaurants to make memories together.

At the end of an amazing vacation road-tripping through Ireland, Ian proposed at a romantic overlook in Howth Harbour, a fishing village just north of Dublin. The secret had almost been blown before we left for the vacation when an envelope from the jewelry store where our neighbor (and now bridesmaid) works arrived. Alicia and Ian kept the surprise by quickly swapping out the documents for the ring with a self-created embossment information sheet about a passport holder they purchased. They fooled me! I was convinced that the very nice, but not as nice as an engagement ring, present was the extent of the surprises for the trip and Ian nervously carried the ring around until the last evening of our adventure. Thankfully, driving on the left side of narrow roads together, getting lost, and obtaining parking tickets didn't dissuade Ian from proposing!
