Checks can be made to Howard Grene or Allison Schmidt, or to both of us. After returning from our honeymoon, Allison will begin the process of changing her last name to Grene
We request you come dressed in formal attire! Special request from the bride to avoid pastels or white. We would prefer to see you in dark tones or bright colors.
We are operating with a limited headcount at the venue and have only factored in the invited guests listed on the invite envelope in our planning. With cancellations and rsvp responses we may be able to add extra guests, but won’t know until closer to the event. If there is someone you would like to bring, please let us know—we will do everything we can, but must adhere to the venue’s policy.
Thank you in advance for respecting our venue’s smoking and open flame policy. The venue is a historic building and does not allow smoking, vaping, or open flame on property. There are designated smoking areas in the parking lot, and the neighborhood is lovely for a walk. Please do not smoke on property.
There is limited parking at the venue, we recommend carpooling, app-based ride shares, or street parking. Downtown Salem has many municipal lots but most are a bit of a walk from the House of Seven Gables, so plan accordingly.
We are trying to limit the number of children at the event due to the venue’s capacity. There are a small number invited with visitors traveling long distances, but we ask other guests to please secure child care and bring only themselves for the night out. We apologize for any inconvenience, this was our solution to keep attendance manageable.
We have a block of rooms booked at The Coach House. Salem has a number of great hotels, bed & breakfasts, and Airbnb. We recommend, additionally: The Hawthorne Hotel The Waterfront Hotel Hotel Salem The Stepping Stone Inn The Daniels House The Merchant Hotel Hampton Inn Salem
As of the end of March 2024, we are locked in with our current guests, and cannot add any more. The response has been overwhelming and we are so grateful.
