Matron of Honor
Natalie and Allison have known each other basically their entire lives, but didn't become BFFs until after high school. College breaks were full of week-long sleepovers, painting murals, & In-N-Out. Nowadays, they have Linky as the cutest fifth wheel and love planning lake days. Natalie has always been there to listen, offer advice and remind Allison of God's perfect plan. Allison was Natalie's MOH and can't wait for Natalie to be hers!
Best Man
Jeff and Shane met at the age of 5 when their parents signed them up on the same Primetime basketball team. Jeff was the starting point guard while Shane rode the bench...Luckily for Shane, Jeff wasn't too cool to hang with a bench warmer. From joint birthday parties and fishing trips to their shared Lakers fandom, these childhood friends grew up together. Shane wouldn't want anyone else to stand by him as his Best Man on his big day!
Matron of Honor
Melly and Alley met during freshman orientation at UOP where Alley couldn't wait to get her Pharm.D. and Melly couldn't wait to leave Stockton. They become roommates and apartmentmates, sang a lot of Taylor Swift, took many naps, and streamed a lot of tv (before Netflix). Dinner dates always include french fries and comfy clothes. Alley also had the honor of being Melly's MOH and feels extra lucky to have two MOHs!
Groomsman
Austin and Shane met in middle school, having both shared the same classes and always playing basketball at recess (both even choosing to play basketball over their 6th grade dances). In high school, Austin and Shane both played on the golf team where it wasn't uncommon for them to get chewed out by their coach for ditching practices. Their friendship continued into college at CSUF as roommates and business majors. Shane is excited to have Austin as a groomsman on his big day!
Bridesmaid
Joey and Alley met freshman year in the honors dorm at UOP. They became friends as foodie introverts - plus Joey liked Alley's "style". They rented a (sketchy) Stockton apartment but lived at the library for free internet and went to the gym to watch tv. It was a ghetto time eating lots of potato wedges & carrots and sharing closets & clothes. Since Joey moved to the bay, they don’t get to see each other often but when they do hang out it's like no time has passed, and Alley can't wait for Diana to stand beside her on her big day!
Groomsman
Brendan and Shane go all the way back to elementary school. They both shared a common interest in basketball, with their teams having always played against each other in numerous leagues and tournaments from kindergarten thru high school. Shane always hated when he had to guard Brendan and his killer cross-over. To this day their conversations usually revolve around fantasy sports, snowboarding, and bomb food! Shane is stoked to have Brendan as one of his groomsman!
Bridesman
Jerline & Alley met freshman year at UOP. Jelly was always trying to get Alley & Melly to study more and watch TV less. They were roommates during pharmacy school. Jelly would buy groceries for Alley to cook and always had fresh rice ready. Because of Jelly, Alley did more stretching, reading, and library studying. Hangouts are always full of laughs, drug updates, and selfies. Alley can't wait for more of these things on her wedding day!
Groomsman
Jon (aka Yap) and Shane met in high school on the golf team. (Both Shane and Austin agree that it was Jon's influence as to why they all ditched practices). Jon was the new kid at school having moved from Boston. Shane and Austin decided that he was cool, as soon as they found out that he wasn't a Celtics fan. Many rounds of golf, snowboard trips, and Lakers games later, Shane is proud to say that Jon is a legit LA sports fan. Shane is happy to have Jon join his groomsmen for his big day!
Bridesmaid
Rachel is Allison's younger sister by 5 years (they used to be confused as twins, more recently confusing Rach as the oldest sister). They are both obsessed with good food (although Rach likes it spicy!), taking pictures, and online shopping. Alley would drive to Sacramento to spend Thanksgiving with her Po-Po & Gung-Gung and go Black Friday shopping with Rachel when she lived in Alturas and Rach went to Sac State. Alley is so thankful for the friendship they have :)
Groomsman
Josh and Shane met at church when they joined the same small group in 2014. Since their small group started during the early stages of Shane and Alley's relationship, Josh witnessed the ups and downs of their long distance relationship. Shane's first impression of Josh was, "dang this guy is wise", and always appreciated Josh's prayers and life/marriage tips that he had learned with his beautiful wife Donna. Shane is honored to have Josh's support as his groomsman!
Bridesmaid
Kakey is Alley's youngest sister. (She wanted to be their flower girl but is settling as a bridesmaid). Growing up people thought Alley was her mother, but Kake made sure to tell them she was Cinderella and they were her evil stepsisters. Being away for college, pharmacy school, and Alturas kept them apart for a while, but home visits always involved boba and korean fried chicken. Alley is super happy to be back home with her sissys and can't imagine getting married without them!
Groomsman
Tim (younger yet taller brother of Josh) and Shane also met at church when they joined the same small group. Shane always looked to Tim as being such a "cool guy" since he always seemed to be either surfing, lifting weights, or camping. Despite the outwardly Bro-ness vibes, Shane found Tim to be a super down to earth guy, always lending an open ear, with the two sharing super relatable career experiences. Shane is privileged to have Tim join him on his big day as a groomsman!
Bridesmaid
Traci is Allison's younger cousin and they were lucky enough to grow up less than 10 minutes away from each other. They love a good deal, all things Disney, and celebrating their May birthdays together! Alley started to come to SBCC with Traci's family during college breaks and Trace is the one who introduced Alley to Shane. Traci even had the DTR talk with him when Alley first moved to Alturas (She almost scared Shane off, but didn't). Alley feels so blessed from their friendship and always knew Traci would be beside her on her big day!
Groomsman
Jarred and Shane first met at church at a young adult fellowship night. The two connected over basketball and sharing the same favorite restaurants in the area. After hanging out more, Shane realized how personable and genuine Jarred was while also being a straight up stud (he saves lives for a living as a firefighter)! Jarred eventually joined their small group, and Shane had the privilege of seeing Jarred's faith grow and mature into a Christ follower. Shane is excited to have Jarred as a groomsman on his big day!
Bridesmaid
Alley met Shane the day she and Kristen were baptized, but she didn’t officially meet Kristen until months later on a weekend trip home from Alturas. After that, they were able to get to know each other better during winter/spring/summer breaks. Alley loves the relationship Shane has with his sister since she is so close with her siblings. Kris was part of Alley's discipleship group when she first moved home from Alturas and Alley hopes she can continue to be an encouragement to her new sister!
Groomsman
Chris and Shane met when Alley brought Shane over to her home to meet her family for the first time. He was really nervous at first but Chris was always very inclusive and easy to talk to. Shane really appreciates how much Chris looks up to his older sister Alley, and truly values her opinion about anything. Shane is looking forward to growing his relationship with his future brother in law, and having his support as a groomsman!
