Most of you already know that we met under unique circumstances & yes, we are just going to speed past that like it didn't happen... :) We met on a queer dating app! (Bobbi reached out to Allisa, for the record!) Our first date was at a small arcade & restaurant, Game Bird, where we quickly decided we didn't like the food but didn't want the night to end. We asked the bar tender for recommendations where we could find another open place to continue our date because in such a small town (& apparently NE) "open late" means 10 pm. She directed us to Off The Rails, where Bobbi sang karaoke & Allisa admired her from the table. We had some drinks & talked until we closed the place down. After that, we spent every spare second talking, squeezing dates into grocery trips & making the most of the time we had. The pull between us was undeniable but neither of us knew how to address it without sounding crazy to the other in such a short time frame. Our meeting was like bumping into a friend that you haven't seen in a while but you've known your entire life; you know-- when you have to catch up on everything but it's like time doesn't exist between you. It was immediately comfortable & close. Almost a year from our first date at OTR, Bobbi proposed to Allisa there & it's a date night go-to. (Allisa proposed two months earlier under a waterfall but who's keeping track, right?) So, if you skip a bit & leave out a few names, our meeting really wasn't so unique.
