Leesburg was built in 1740 and housed the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution during the War of 1812. During the Civil War, it was held by both Union and Confederate forces. It was also the home of George C. Marshall, for whom the Marshall Plan was named. Today, is is a small city with a walkable historic downtown.

Part of the National Air and Space Museum, the Udvar-Hazy center hosts a collection of historic aircraft including a Concorde, and the Space Shuttle Discovery.
There are more than 40 wineries in Loudon county, which bills itself "DC's Wine Country." We'll serve a couple local wines at the wedding, but why not try a few more?
