Allie and Kevin matched on a dating app on November 28, 2023, while they were both in their home states in New England - just 2 days before Allie signed her year-long lease to leave and move to San Diego, California. Even though they both knew she was leaving in a month, they couldn't ignore how fun it was to talk to each other and how much they had in common, so they decided to meet for a date in Boston a week later. Little did they know it would be the best first date either of them had ever been on. After that date Kevin told Allie that it didn't matter where she was moving, he would come visit, and he did. Kevin not only helped Allie pack to move (after only a couple weeks of knowing each other) but when Allie made it to San Diego and was having trouble with the move, Kevin flew out a few days later to help, and infamously hang her tv (perfectly). Doing long distance with each other was never even a conversation, it was just obvious. As long as each of them existed on the same planet, there wasn't anything that could come between them. And though they did long distance for the first year, it always felt like a privilege because they both knew how truly lucky they were to have one another. On August 10, 2025, Kevin asked Allie to marry him in Cape Elizabeth, Maine - the place where their favorite artist, Noah Kahan, based his album of the same name. This is not only Allie and Kevin's favorite album, but also the topic of the first conversation they ever had.
