Please RSVP on this website (via the "RSVP" tab) by September 3!
We are anticipating that most of our guests will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by our wedding date. When you RSVP, you'll be asked to let us know what your vaccination status will be by October 3. For those who will not be vaccinated, we will be requiring a negative COVID test, taken upon arrival in California and emailing your results to the mother of the bride, Jill Schratz, at jvschratz@gmail.com. Onsite PCR test appointments are extremely limited in Tahoe; most likely you’ll need to buy a take-home test to bring with you (we recommend BinexNOW, which can be found at CVS, Walgreens and Walmart.) This is a non-negotiable requirement to attend our wedding, so please do reach out to us with any questions. We understand this is a big group setting, and that some folks are still easing back into what we remember as "normal" life. Even if you are fully vaccinated and still feel more comfortable continuing to mask up, you are absolutely encouraged to do so.
Kids are welcome to attend the Saturday evening welcome event, but please plan for a kid-free Sunday wedding celebration.
Wear your best brunch attire. Slacks & a fleece vest, a cocktail dress & a coat, a pantsuit & a scarf -- nothing crazy fancy, just make sure you're warm!
The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside, on the lawn next to the inn. The brunch reception will happen on the lakefront dock; for dessert and dancing, we'll move inside. We'll have fleece blankets available onsite, but please be sure to bring a jacket! Please note, anyone unvaccinated will be required to wear a mask at all times indoors.
Brunch will be a scrumptious buffet with several choices for all appetites. However, please be sure to note any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
Since we expect that our guests will be spread out around Homewood and Tahoe City, please plan on driving to the ceremony. There is parking at the venue, as well as across the street at Homewood ski resort. You can leave your car overnight if needed (just be sure to pick it up by 10AM on Monday!) Please note, Uber isn't super reliable here, so having a car is highly advised.
Yes, but please be sure they are wedges or have a chunky heel so you don't sink into the lawn or between boards on the dock. ;)
Hard to say; it's the mountains, and the weather can change quite often! Typically, October weather is in the 60s. We're aiming to maximize daylight (and warmth) with a daytime celebration, and we'll be indoors for brunch, but would highly recommend bringing along a warm layer just in case.
Easy: you'll find it under the 'Registry' tab on this site! We've selected a few items that will help to complete our home, as well as a number of experiences we'll look to embark on during our honeymoon in Australia.
