It was September 2014, Allie moved to St. Louis from Florida just a few weeks prior to begin her audiology doctorate program at Washington University. Zack just moved back to St. Louis after finishing law school at Mizzou and taking the bar exam. Within Allie's initial few days in St. Louis she won two tickets to see Umphrey's McGee at the Fox Theater. Despite some heavy persuading, she was unable to convince one of her 13 classmates to attend the show with her. Instead, she went alone. Little did she know Zack was also in attendance. A few weeks later Allie volunteered for a local music festival, Lou Fest, where again she went alone to the show of a band she loves (Lettuce) while unknowingly Zack was in the audience. Although solo concerts were fun, Allie was ready to find a friend with mutual interests. Allie and Zack both found themselves on a dating app. Within days of being on the app Allie came across Zack’s profile. Zack’s profile highlighted all of his interests, which were Allie’s as well. They were things like: Phish, Suwannee Music Park, Bear Creek, and the Grateful Dead. “Who was this guy in St. Louis who knows about Bear Creek,” Allie thought, and she just had to meet him. Zack took Allie on their first date to experience St. Louis toasted ravioli and to see Greensky Bluegrass. After spending hours talking they realized not only were they both at the local Umphreys and Lettuce shows, but they were in addendance at numerous Phish shows "together" around the country. After 7 years of dating, Zack proposed at the Missouri Botanical Gardens surrounded by both of their families. Allie and Zack are looking forward to celebrating their love and marriage with you on their wedding day!
